Cardinals (w)in the Super Bowl

This one is for Cody. For those of you who don't know, Cody is a die hard Arizona Cardinals fan. Possibly the only one you have ever heard of period, but definately the only one here in Alabama. Before I met Cody I had never even heard of the Cardinals. Had no idea they existed. But after our first date I'm sure I knew a lot more about them than most people. This is actually one of the things that I really loved about Cody. They are probably the worst team ever (sorry, but it's true), but no matter what, Cody stood by them and loved them just the same. No matter how bad they played, how many mistakes they made, games they lost over and over and over again, he still loved them, cheered for them and defended them. He just kept telling everyone who mocked him that their day was coming... and he was right. So, I am so very happy for Cody (and the Cardinals) that they have made it to the Super Bowl. Something that most never thought would ever happen... ever!! Please cheer for them Feb. 1st if you're not a stinkin' Steelers fan!! And for Cody.... your undying loyalty finally paid off!!
To explain the picture: I was in the middle of changing Heidi when the game against the Eagles started to go downhill so I had to give her back to Cody (since they played their best when he was holding her). Poor little thing just passed out, from all the excitement I guess.
(We are a little superstitious when it comes to sports... I once made Cody stay in the bathroom for 1/2 a game of the world series because they only scored when he went to the bathroom. Strange I know but it seems to work.)

Happy New Year!

I know it's now the 3rd day of the new year but what can I say, I'm always late. Anywho, we had a pretty low key new year's eve. We were actually invited to two different places but decided just to stay in. I think that means we're old. Oh well. We seem to miss a lot of gatherings these days. Not that we don't want to go, it's just that sometimes we just cannot make it out of the house. So please do not stop inviting us, we will make it eventually.... hopefully.

I did get to see both Sean and Hunter quite a bit over the holidays. Hunter was actually in town today for a funeral but headed back to Birmingham before I got a chance to see him. Sean is here until Sunday so we are trying to spend as much time with him before he leaves since he doesn't come home from Atlanta that often. Zoe has really enjoyed having him here. He's like her new best friend. Even Heidi adores him and that is saying a lot. It usually takes her a while before she decides if she likes someone or not. Zoe, on the other hand, tried to leave with a strange couple at Target. She keeps me on my toes to say the least.

Catching up...again

I know it has been a while, but life has been pretty busy around the White house. Today I took Zoe and Heidi to the doc for their 2 year and 4 month check-up. Zoe is still way above average weighing in at 30 lbs and 35 inches tall. I have high hopes that she will be taller than me one day, which isn't saying a lot. Heidi is finally moving on the scale at 14 lbs 1 oz and 25 inches. She has grown a lot in just the past month. If you checked out the Halloween pics you can see how scrawny she was. She apparently had a milk allergy, poor baby, but is doing so much better since I stopped nursing and put her strictly on soy formula. She is so much happier too. I am still trying to prevent her from growing up. The other day she rolled over for the 1st time so I guess I will just have to hold her all the time so that it doesn't happen again. JK! It is sad to me though whenever she reaches a new milestone, but I am coping the best that I can. Zoe has quit naps cold turkey and seems to have even more energy (if that is even possible). Sassier too! She is very entertaining and fun but man am I tired. Oh yeah, she quit the potty cold turkey too... it's been a rough week. Caleigh is busy as usual. She is in show choir this year and has had several performances in the past month, including one tomorrow night and travelling performances all day Wednesday. She is our singer and Zoe our dancer (although we aren't sure which genre of dance and admittedly a little worried).

Dad arrived sometime today from Oklahoma for the week. I believe he worked all day yesterday then drove all night to get here then immediately went to the doc then home to bed. Needless to say we haven't seen him yet. We are going to have Christmas on Saturday and he will head back to Oklahoma on Sunday. If I'm not mistaken, he will have to stay until February and then he can come home for good. This year has gone by much faster than I expected. I don't know if the same goes for him, but I know he cannot wait to come home and stay home. Sean and Hunter are both coming home this week too so I plan on taking lots of pics and will post them soon. I will Try to post them soon. Anyway, here are a few recent pics of the kids.

Just One of the Girls

I must admit I was a little worried about Cody when we found out that Heidi was in fact a girl. I knew it was going to be tough living in a house with 4 girls and no allies what-so-ever but I think he is taking to it pretty well.... don't you? I believe he falls asleep with the boppy nearly every night but the baby doll is something new.... isn't that just precious!!ha!ha!

Mad House

Saturday we loaded up and went to Tate Farms with Samantha. Zoe fell asleep on the way and was still a little tired when we got there. That's why she looks so serious in the pics. All in all, it was a very fun day for everyone and we will probably go again next year.

Back in business...finally!!

My brand spankin new laptop finally arrived... thank goodness. There is waaaay too much to catch up on so I will just start from right now. Heidi is doing wonderful. She is changing so much every day and it's just killing me because I want her to stay a baby forever. The reality that she is my absolute last baby just recently sunk in. I'm still glad I had my tubes tied because let's face it, having a baby every other year takes a serious toll on your body (or at least mine anyway.... I for some reason don't just bounce back like Angelina Jolie). And also, I'm kinda tired of being pregnant all the time. I still get sad when I think about the fact that I will never, ever have a little boy (besides Cody). I guess he will have to do!!

Zoe is sooo much fun these days. Everyday she comes up with something new to entertain us with. My fave thing right now is her talking about her "big girl" panties. She'll say "I wear big girl panties like Caleigh...like Daddy! I swear I did not tell her to say that, but Cody isn't convinced. I think it's hilarious and I get her to tell everyone. Hey, apparently she thinks her daddy wears big girl panties. She has also been hanging out with the big girls. Sarah comes home with Caleigh every Tuesday after show choir to hang out before hip hop dance class. Well, Zoe has been learning some moves from them and she thinks she is something else. I will try to post a video soon.

Caleigh is on the go as usual. As a matter of fact, she is in Mississippi right now with Sarah. I miss her terribly. It seems as though I'm always talking about how much I miss her. I feel so bad about her not getting as much attention anymore now that she's not an only child so I let her do a lot more things than I really want her to. Don't get me wrong, she still gets her fair share of attention. It's just that she was used to getting ALL the attention for so long before the other 2 came along. And it's not that it bothers her at all, she absolutely adores her sisters and has never ever acted jealous. She's just great about everything.... I think I'm going to make her stay home for a while.

I'm tired but I will try to post some pics soon. As Zoe would say "Peace Out!!"

It's Been A While...

Sorry it has been soooo long since I posted but my computer has been "in the shop" and still having problems so I should be getting my NEW one sometime in the next week or two and things can return to normal. Everyone is doing well. Heidi is growing like crazy. She is smiling a lot now and trying really hard to coo. Every now and then she can get some sounds out but I think it kinda freaks her out when she does. She's a very good baby. She has started sleeping through the night now which is really nice. I think she's getting hungry now so I will have to cut this short but I will return real soon. If you want to see some pics you can go to http://picasaweb.google.com/caleighnzoe.

She's Here!!

Heidi Madelyn White has arrived!! She was born on August 7th at 10:15 pm weighing 7 lbs 14 oz and 19 3/4 inches long. Luckily since she was an average sized baby I was able to deliver without any problems and avoid a c-section. Everyone is doing great. Zoe absolutely loves her and doesn't seem to be jealous at all... at least not yet anyway. I will try to post some pictures soon.
