Ariel in Zoe's Belly

Lately we have been discussing the girl's soon to be new cousin, Rowan. At first Zoe didn't want to accept the fact that her cousin was a boy. For some reason she thought that meant she was a boy and she would get frustrated and keep saying "I'M A GIRL!!". Now she refers to him as cousinboy. Anyway, we have now moved onto the fact that "cousinboy" is in Aunt Kyla's belly. The entire time I was pregnant with Heidi, Zoe would always say that she had a baby in her belly too, so, I kind-of expected her to say that again... and she did. But now she has decided that she has Ariel in her belly. Even though Ariel in not one of the princesses on her gown she wanted me to take a picture of her baby "Ariel" in her belly.

Papaw's Birthday

Yesterday was Papaw Steve's birthday. Zoe was sooo excited and I thought that was a little unusual until I realized that she thought we were making a "butterfly" cake for her and she was going to get presents. When I explained that it wasn't her birthday and she wasn't getting anything she took the news well... thank goodness. She still helped me make the cake. Well... she ate some cake batter and a whole lot of cinnamon. She also helped with his gift... she drew a picture of Uncle Bo on his card which actually looked more like a watermelon. About an hour before dinner Cody decided to work on the sink ( we've been having drainage problems but it's under control) and poured something down the drain which made our entire house smell like a sulfur bomb had gone off. We had to hang out outside for the next hour and it was still so horrible then that we decided to eat outside. I was actually kind-of glad he stunk up the house because I think it was more enjoyable outside, even though it was a little chilly. We had a really nice night and I hope Steve had a great B'day!!

Easter

We had a wonderful Easter. We went out to Kyla and Houston's ( or Hoooston, as Zoe refers to him) for lunch and an Easter egg hunt. It took Zoe a little while to get the concept of the egg hunt. After finding one egg she thought she was done, kind-of like Halloween... one piece of candy and she was ready to go home. I think she had a really good time. Heidi was in a great mood all day which allowed me to have a good time. It was a really fun day, but I have to admit I was thrilled when everyone went to sleep.
